Another day, another closure at Searchmont Resort. It seems mechanical gremlins are wreaking havoc on the slopes, forcing the resort to shut down for the day. According to a recent Facebook post, the culprit this time? Grooming equipment issues. This means the mountain can't maintain safe conditions for skiers and snowboarders. The resort's team is working hard to fix the problem and get things back on track, with a new groomer reportedly on its way. Thankfully, the FIS Mid-AM Race was able to continue as planned, as it didn't require groomed runs.
But this isn't the first time Searchmont has faced operational challenges this season. Last month, the resort announced that one of its three lifts would be out of service for the entire season. This news likely disappointed many skiers and snowboarders.
It's frustrating when equipment failures disrupt the ski season. What do you think about the recurring issues at Searchmont? Do you believe the resort is doing enough to address these problems? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
